We are optimistic that the worst of COVID is past and the coming summer will be fantastic. Let’s hope the weather is as good as last year!
We have used the lockdown to upgrade a lot of this charming building, including a big improvement to the bar rooms, re-instating the fireplace (with logburner) in the large lounge, adding some fine antique furniture..

Spend Christmas at our cosy country pub. Log fires, mulled wine, lovely rooms, festive food. There are still a few rooms left. Book a 3 night package or just B&B, or come for our hearty 3 course Christmas Dinner on the 25th. New Year stays also available.

Winter is here and the peaks will soon be covered with snow...... pop in for a pint or something to eat after a day out on the fells. Walkers and dogs more than welcome. Its snowing! It's sunny! It's snowing again! Never a dull moment when it comes to Lakeland weather! Whatever happenes.... it's beautiful, our fires are waiting to give you a roaringly warm welcome. Pop in for a pint of locally brewed ale, a local gin or a cozy hot chocolate!

Romance is in the air! We have a sumptuous Valentine's menu featuring delicious sharing dishes, all served by candlelight in our romantic oak panelled dining room. We are open every day as usual! Food served daily between 12pm - 3pm and again 6pm - 9pm. You are welcome to just turn up but we always recommend booking a table........

The Badger Bar will be closed from 3pm on Thursday for the staff Christmas Party. Once a year we let the staff loose, you better watch out!
